Warm milk in the morning is a bad sign. So is a freezer that frosts over one week and puddles the next. Common causes: a stuck defrost heater, a fan blocked by ice, a condenser coil packed with dust, or a door gasket that quit sealing. Carson kitchens run warm in late summer, which pushes a struggling compressor even harder. We check temperatures at both compartments, listen to the compressor, and test the defrost cycle before we say a word about parts. Describe what you're seeing, or fill out the quote form.
Taking calls until 5:00 PM PT

We cover Carson's 90745, 90746, 90747, and 90810 areas, plus nearby Torrance, Gardena, Wilmington, and Long Beach.
Aim for about 37 degrees in the fresh food side and 0 degrees in the freezer. Put a thermometer in a glass of water overnight for a true reading. If numbers drift far off, something in the cooling or defrost system needs attention.
Loud usually means mechanical, not unsafe. Buzzing often traces to a condenser or evaporator fan blade. Rhythmic clicking can be a relay trying to start the compressor. Note when the sound happens and tell us; it narrows the search fast.
Move perishables to a cooler with ice if the compartment has been above 40 degrees for hours. Keep the freezer closed; a full freezer holds temperature far longer than an empty one. That buys time until we arrive.
It does. Much of California runs mineral-heavy water, and scale builds inside fill valves, ice maker molds, and dispenser lines. That shows up as thin ice, slow fill, or cloudy cubes. Regular filter changes slow it down.
Most Carson calls get a slot within a day or two, and same-day is often possible if you call early. Traffic on the 405 and 91 shapes our routing, so we give you an arrival window instead of a vague promise. Text or call us and we will tell you what is actually open.
Call us or fill out the form. Describe what you hear, smell or see. Odd noise, standing water, no heat. Have the model number handy if you can reach it.
Pick a window that fits your day. We confirm the address and ask a few questions first, so the van carries parts that commonly fail on your machine.
Our technician tests the machine, explains what failed, and lays out the repair options. Many jobs finish the same visit. Special-order parts get scheduled before we leave.
Ask these of anyone you let into your home — us included. Call and we'll answer all five before you book anything.
Describe the fault, approve the written quote, get it fixed. Starting takes about a minute.
