Homeowners' pick for appliance repair across California

Washer Repair — Book a Visit Today

We repair residential washers across California, front load and top load, most major brands. Call us and tell us what the machine is doing. Failures here are usually loud and wet: a drain pump chokes on a sock, a door lock quits talking to the control board, bearings whine on spin, a hose weeps behind the pedestal. Around Sacramento and much of the state, hard water leaves scale on valves and heater elements, so fills get slow and cycles stretch long. A visit starts with your description, then a short test cycle so we can hear and see the fault ourselves. We check water in, water out, drum motion, and the electronics tying it all together. Then we explain what part failed and what the repair involves before anything gets ordered.

Washer Repair — residential washer being serviced

The washer symptoms we hear most

  • There's water sitting in the drum Blocked drain pump, clogged filter, or kinked drain hose
  • It sounds like a jet on spin Worn drum bearings, loose spider arm, or trapped debris
  • Clothes come out soaking wet Spin fault: lid switch, door lock, motor control, or unbalanced load
  • The machine won't start at all Door latch, control board, or power supply issue
  • Puddle under the machine after every wash Split hose, tub seal, pump housing, or leaking dispenser

Safe things to check first

Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.

  • 1Make sure the drain hose isn't kinked or pushed too far down the standpipe.
  • 2Open the pump filter door at the bottom front and clear out coins, lint, or hair.
  • 3Check that both faucets behind the washer are fully open and the inlet screens aren't caked with scale.
  • 4Rock the machine gently. If it wobbles on uneven feet, that's what bangs on spin.

Washer Repair — quick answers

Why does my front loader smell musty?

Moisture stays trapped in the door boot, and detergent residue feeds it. Wipe the rubber fold dry, leave the door ajar, and run a hot clean cycle. If the odor comes back fast, the drain path or sump is probably holding sludge.

Is a leaking washer urgent?

Treat it that way. Shut both water valves and unplug the machine. A weeping hose can burst, and a slow tub-seal leak rots subfloor quietly. Call us and describe where the water shows up so we bring likely parts.

Can hard water damage a washer?

Yes. Scale builds on inlet valve screens, heater elements, and pressure sensor lines. Fills slow down, heated cycles run long, error codes show up. Descaling helps, and so does a softener or filter. We check those parts during any diagnosis.

My washer walks across the floor. Fixable?

Usually. Uneven leveling feet, worn shock absorbers, or failed suspension rods let the tub swing wide. Shipping bolts left in a new machine do it too. Replacing dampers and leveling the cabinet normally settles it down.

Do you work on stacked laundry units?

We do. Stacked washer-dryer pairs and combo units have to come apart carefully to reach pumps and belts, so we plan clearance and drain access first. Tell us the setup on the phone and the visit goes easier.

Is an error code enough to know the problem?

It narrows things fast but rarely tells the whole story. A drain code can mean pump, filter, hose, or sensor. We read the code, then test the actual circuit and water path to confirm which part failed.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call us or fill out the form, then describe what you hear, smell or see. Odd noise, standing water, no heat. Have the model number handy if you can reach it.

  2. Step 2

    We schedule a visit

Pick a window that fits your day. We confirm the address and ask a few questions first so the van carries parts that commonly fail on your machine.

  3. Step 3

    Diagnose and repair

Our technician tests the machine, explains what failed and lays out your repair options. Many jobs finish the same visit. If a part has to be ordered, we schedule the return before we leave.

Why homeowners call us

  • Hard water knowledgeSacramento Valley minerals scale up heating elements, valves and spray arms. We look for buildup, not just broken parts. Clearing scale and swapping clogged components keeps a dishwasher or washer from failing the same way again.
  • Heat pump dryersNewer heat pump dryers dry differently, and they fail differently. Clogged condensers, blocked drains, long cycle times, all of it has a cause. We service these units and vented models too, and we tell you what the machine needs.
  • Statewide coverageWe are based in North Highlands and work across California. Coastal humidity, valley heat and desert dust each stress appliances in their own way, so we factor local conditions into the diagnosis instead of guessing.
  • Straight answersSome machines are worth repairing and some are not. We tell you which, based on the failed part, the age of the unit and what else is likely to go next. Then you decide.
  • All major brands, gas & electricOne independent crew for Whirlpool, Samsung, GE, LG, Maytag, Bosch and more.
  • Straight answersWhen a repair doesn't make sense, we tell you, sometimes before we even roll a truck.
